At eleven o’clock on Sunday 13th November 2005, the townsfolk of Bloxwich came together to remember their own who have died in armed conflicts. A total of almost four hundred Bloxwich citizens have given there lives in the cause of freedom, with three hundred and sixteen being killed in the Great War alone. The civic parade arrived at the cenotaph shortly after half past ten. Following short prayers, the names of the dead were read out. At eleven o’clock two minutes silence was held. Following the service a cross was placed in memory of Thomas Henry Crutchley. The following are photographs taken during and after the service.
