The two people in the photograph above are my great grandfather and great grandmother, Thomas and Alice Sherman. They are the parents of Ada Crutchley, my paternal grandmother. Records show that they lived in Walsall, and later in Willenhall.

Judging from their age and dress, it would appear that this photograph was taken sometime around 1920. The original image, now highly blackened by age has a metallic base that is most likely tin plate.
