At eleven o’clock on Sunday 9th
November 2008, Bloxwich once more remembered it's fallen sons, and also those of the town currently engaged on active military service around the world. Down through the years a total of almost four hundred Bloxwich citizens have
given their lives in the cause of freedom, with three hundred and sixteen
being killed during the Great War alone.
The town's annual civic parade was followed by the reading of the names of Bloxwich's fallen, and at eleven
o’clock the traditional two minutes silence was observed. Following the service, a poppy cross
was placed at the cenotaph in memory of Thomas Henry Crutchley.
The following are photographs taken during and after the service.
